Cookie Policy

What Cookies are and why we use them

Cookies are short text and number files that the websites visited by the User send to the User’s terminal (usually the browser) to store and send back to those websites on the next visit by the same User. When the User browses on a website, the User’s terminal may also receive cookies sent by other websites or web servers (known as third parties), that may contain certain elements (such as pictures, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) on the website that the User is visiting. They can be used for different purposes (for example IT authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations regarding the users that access the server, etc.).

The cookies can be classified on the basis of the parties that use them (first and third party cookies) or on the basis of their function (technical, analytical or profiling cookies).

First-party cookies: are installed by the Website operator (also known as “editor”).

Third-party cookies: are installed on the User’s terminal by a different website to the one the User is visiting.

TYPE DESCRIPTION
Technical cookies are cookies just used for browsing or to allow a service requested by the User (for example to identify themselves in order to access reserved areas). These cookies are not used for other purposes, and are generally installed directly by the data controller or operator of the Website on the User’s terminal. These cookies can be session cookies or navigation cookies. There are also analytical cookies that can be similar to technical cookies if they are used by the Website operator to collect aggregate data for statistical purposes (for example the number of visitors to the website). Finally there are function cookies which help the User navigate in accordance with a series of parameters chosen to improve the use of the service provided by the Website to the User. The technical cookies can be session cookies or persistent cookies. Session cookies are automatically erased when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies are stored on the User’s terminal for a certain length of time. First-party technical and analytical cookies do not require the consent of the users, but must be reported in the disclosure.
Third-party analytical cookies: these cookies are used to monitor use of the Website by the Users to optimise use, but in this case, realised and made available by third parties (so not the Website operator). In these cases, the Website operators that use this technology are not subject to the obligations and duties provided under applicable law (for example adding a banner and notifying the Regulatory Authorities) if they use instruments that can reduce the identifying power of the cookie used (for example, using instruments that partially mask the IP address of the User). Additionally, the third party, who provides the cookie, must contractually undertake not to pursue any other objectives besides the provision of the service with respect to the Website operator, to keep the data separately and not to “enrich” or “cross reference” the data with other information that it has. Information must be given on them, but prior valid consent does not have to be obtained from the User if the conditions described above have been met.
Profiling cookies they are cookies used to track the User’s browsing in order to gather information to create profiles relating to the User (they can be used to send advertising messages that reflect the preferences shown by the User while navigating on line). Even in this case, the cookies can be “first-party” or “third party”.  In all these cases, the User will have to be adequately informed and these cookies can only operate with the prior valid consent of the User.

What cookies do we use?

The Website www.traduttoriassociati.com, uses technical cookies created by CMS (WordPress)

The cookies known as “technical” cookies, with no consent necessary for their processing, are as follows:

  1. a) Cookies strictly necessary for the website to operate and for the service to be provided: the cookies ensure that the website can be navigated normally.
    They are mostly session cookies.
  2. b) Function cookies for optimisation purposes: these cookies allow the user to browse on the website in accordance with the criteria chosen (for example the language, the currency, the content of the basket during online purchases) in order to make the services work and/or to improve them.
In most cases, they are cookies that have a maximum duration of 365 days.

No technical cookies require consent, so they are installed automatically after the website is accessed and they are not used for any other purposes.

The session cookies used on this website do not use other information techniques that could potentially prejudice the confidentiality of the users’ navigation, and do not permit the acquisition of personal identifying user data.

The storage times of the data acquired depend on the types of cookie. The session cookies expire when the browser is shut down. The expiry dates of persistent cookies, including the Local Shared Objects “Flash cookies” usually range from two months to a couple of years.

If these cookies are disabled, the User will not be able to browse the website.
